Chef K is a consultant, chef, and entrepreneur whose focus is on local, fresh, and healthy options. Kiersten started her first company in 1999. Five years later, after attending the Culinary Institue of America in St. Helena, she started her catering business, InHome Bistro, that she still operates today. In 2006, she founded Bistro Kids, the first farm-to-school lunch program in the Midwest. In 2015, Kiersten co-founded Happy Food Co., a meal-kit company. Legit Provisions is Chef K’s latest venture through which she is continuing to work to revolutionize the way real people purchase, cook, and enjoy food.

Kiersten has undergraduate degrees from the University of Kansas and a graduate degree from California State University Sacramento. She has one son.
